Made these overdress and underdress myself last summer.
Beige cotton underdress, with laces to tighten the forearms.
Royal blue rough silk overdress with shorter sleaves. Sleeves doubled with rough woven black silk.
I still have to adjust the dress more, I still have to add celtic trimmings to the bottom and do some embroidery on the collar.

In fact, I have taken a commercial pattern and modified it. I think it was a Butterick. But with changes to the bottom and the sleeves.
